About a week earlier than expected, my period came a knocking this afternoon. How lovely. I found a nice eHow article on minimizing water retention. Considering I’m doing a low carb diet, it should work like charm. Although I need to add some berries into the mix this week. Basically I’ll be cutting back on salt, drinking lots of non-carbonated water, and chowing on those leafy green carbs that are high in water content. Hopefully the scale will continue its downward trend when I weigh in this weekend, instead of adding 5 pounds of water. Sort of sucks since the brussels sprouts I was planning on roasting tonight are now off the menu as they add to the bloated feeling. Ugh!
