Consequences of Lazy

Skipping breakfast leads to bad things.

Skipping breakfast leads to bad things.

I slept in yesterday. It was just too damn cold to get out of bed. So I skipped breakfast and just cuddled up with the dogs.  Well I paid a price for rolling out of bed at 10:15 a.m.

The one major change in my diet these past 8 months was fairly simple.  Eat breakfast. When I was working I would skip it all the time. I was in such a rush to get out the door to sit in traffic for 90 minutes. I’d get to work and have to deal with the crisis of the day. This just ensured I’d be starving by the time lunch rolled around. Those days I didn’t eat “the most important meal of the day” and I ended up feeling hungry all the time.

Well, yesterday was no different. I just never felt satisfied and my energy level was off – way off.  My energy was so low I skipped my walk.  Yikes! I ended up grazing all day. Luckily I kept a carb count. I did go over my 25g allowance, but not by much. I really felt miserable, but determined to right the ship.

Today? Two eggs, some cherry tomatoes and a chicken sausage patty. All is right with the world.
