Soon I’ll appear on The Lifestyle Accountability Show, a health and fitness podcast, sharing the ups and downs of my weight loss journey. Hosted by brothers Adam and Devon Bate, there are more than 200 podcasts (I’m #203) chock full of great tips and inspirational stories. The goal of the podcast is to inspire and encourage folks to make the switch to a healthy lifestyle by sharing the stories of others.
I had a blast during last night’s interview. The timing was perfect too as I recently wrote about my challenge to stay motivated over the last few months. Thinking about the interview is what led me to reassess my motivation and write that post. So see, the podcast really does work!
At 30 minutes a pop, I’m working my way through the 200+ shows. I started playing them in the car on my way to the gym or when I’m cooking dinner.
Weight loss is tough, and I love that the Bate brothers are focusing on motivation and accountability. For me, losing weight is 90% mental. It doesn’t come easy and life can get in the way. The more supportive environment I create for myself, the more likely I am to succeed. These podcasts offer a nice boost to my resolve and drive to hit goal.
I’ll let you know when the podcast featuring yours truly goes live. It should post next week. In the meantime check out Adam and Devon’s show on iTunes (it’s free!) or head over to their sight.
